Community Development Fund
As a result of the success of the Phoenix IDA’s core services and programs, it established the Community Development Fund to reinvest in community programs to benefit and support the city of Phoenix and its residents.
The Fund’s focus areas include education, health innovation, community/economic development, and affordable housing.
From 2015 through 2017, the Phoenix IDA invested nearly $3 million, primarily from proceeds of non-Arizona bond transactions, to dozens of Phoenix nonprofit organizations through the Community Development Fund.
Details about the Community Development Fund’s awards for the past three years are available online:
The Phoenix IDA considers each funding request on a case-by-case basis. Most Community Development Fund awards are decided through a competitive application process administered by the Arizona Community Foundation.
Current funding cycle status: On December 18, 2017, Phoenix IDA's Community Development Fund opened its first 2018 funding cycle. The highly competitive application process began with solicitation for letters of intent (LOIs) for projects that fall into three primary funding categories. The deadline for LOIs was January 19, 2018.
